Alhamdulillah, I feel greatful and thankful to Allah S.W.T. with the consent and blessing of His Grace, Melaka River And Coastal Development Corporation's (PPSPM) website has been successfully created.

Congratulations and well done to all of the staffs who has worked to provide this website done and successful, this only can be accomplished with the awareness of the importance of a website for an organization to channel the information needed by people from within Malaysia and abroad. The efforts to documented one of the state treasure like this, is a relevant and appropriate efforts to be continued not only to uphold the history, but more important than that is to be understood, appreciated and thus continued and generated after that by the new generation.

I am confident with all the useful information contained in this website, it can enlighten the community on how important it is to appreciate the nature and how the state government through PPSPM has managed to develop and beautify the The Melaka River which was once just a river filled with mud and rubbish, but now The Melaka River, has become a tourism product to be proud of and has been recognized as among the best in Malaysia, through the recognition of one of the prime holidays location in Melaka for the "Cuti-Cuti 1 Malaysia" (1 Malaysia Holidays).

In conjunction to the second anniversary of recognition of Melaka City as the UNESCO World Heritage City and also the acheivements of Melaka as a Developed State at 2010, the name of Melaka State will continue to rise up in the eyes of the world and there will be more tourists who will be coming to visit Melaka, especially the Melaka River.

Hopefully this website will increase the popularity of Sungai Melaka and the services of "Melaka River Cruise" and I also hope that The Melaka River will be able to attract more tourists here and at the same time enliven The Melaka River which is full of history.
