Function 1	Develop and promote the river and the beach as a tourist destination and commercial center;
Function 2	Coordinate between communications agencies in the country and promote cooperation and coordination for development and conservation of river and coastal;
Function 3	Develop, implement and promote infrastructure projects for tourism;
Function 4	Plan and recommend to the state authorities for the development and advancement of the transportation system of the river;
Function 5	Adopt and implement policies issued by the State Government;
Function 6	Initiate preliminary studies on the development and redevelopment, which outlines the development or redevelopment activities and initial review to determine whether the undertaking and the course of development or redevelopment project may be implemented;
Function 7	Develop and coordinate the conduct of any activity by the Federal or State Government or public authority, any company or corporation or any other body or person;
Function 8	Adopt and implement policies issued by the Federal Government;
Function 9	Develop and implement guidelines, performance standards, methods and procedures relating to the management, utilization and conservation of river and coastal;
Function 10	Coordinate the implementation of tourism activities, recreation and economy in coastal areas and river;

Function 11	Plan and recommend to the state authorities with respect to policies, methods and steps to be taken to maintain, preserve and promote the development of river and coastal;
Function 12	Safeguard the interests of the states in the case of river management and coastal development;
Function 13	Obtained by purchase, gift or in any manner whatsoever of movable and immovable property and any interest in it and with the consent in writingfrom the finance minister, release or otherwiseselling in any property or any interest therein so acquired by the corporation;
Function 14	Building up any buildings on any immovable property belonging to the corporation andmanage it according to the plan and prepare the property for carrying out the functions of the corporation, or any otherbenefit relating to it which the corporation thinks fit;
Function 15	Running licensed businesses;
Function 16	With the consent of state authorities, may use or permit the use of assets of the corporation for the purposes other than those specified above, and;
Function 17	Any other matter it thinks fit to enable the exercise of its functions and powers efficiently;
